Happy New Year 2013!
I am not big on New Year's Resolutions. I believe if you want to change something about your life, you don't need a new year to start implementing those changes (kind of like how diets don't have to start on Mondays- that's just an excuse!)
But because 2012 was so wonderful and I would like the positive growth in my life, there are some things I will strive to do better at in this upcoming year. Some may be more goals than resolutions, but here are a few:
1) Get Healthy. 2012 was not my best year for health. I was disciplined with my exercising, but I indulged in the food and drinks I love most. I want to get back into my tip top running shape as long as my ankle holds up. This means less cookies and more time on the treadmill. My goal is to run the Flying Pig marathon again in May. Let the training begin!
2) Continue my traveling. Traveling is one of my most favorite things. From weekend trips to adventures across the pond, I love it! I am going to Ireland in 2 weeks, and I will not stop after that. I hope to make it to at least a few other new U.S. cities, and maybe even another France/Italy trip before 2014 :)
3) Be more diligent about my insurance studies. I was on a studying kick this fall, but the past few weeks I have slacked. I am seeking my CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) designation for work, and I have five exams to go. I would love to finish my CPCU by the end of the year, but this will require discipline! As long as the CPCU exams continue to go well, I hope to start my MBA this year as well!
4) Find that balance in life. This is a never ending goal of mine. I seek to find the perfect balance of my time between work and play; family and friends; etc.
I am sure the list could continue, but these are my big goals for the year!
